St. Matthews Fire & Rescue hosts a Firefighter Rib Cook-Off annually to benefit the St. Matthews Fire & Rescue Benevolence Fund. Teams from fire departments across Kentuckiana come out to compete for bragging rights on who can produce the best ribs, and the local community is invited to attend the family friendly festivities. The event has grown each year since it began in 2015. Sponsorship is increasing and 2021 is on track to be the most successful yet!
